Polyfantastica begins with the era Kuu. In this first 10,000 years, an epic plague wipes out most of the population of the continental part of a world. The peoples left are the para-Polynesian island cultures of the vast ocean space. During Kuu, these people struggle through and beyond war, religious factions, and hate—and rise as Maoli.
